Christmas Wreath

Hello Everyone,

I know it been a long time since I posted but hopefully you will like what I have to share with you all today. I have been busy making Christmas wreaths and with 12 wonderful ladies we have made some very similar but quite unique wreaths.

Mainly the paper was Be of Good Cheer from the main catalogue, but crafters have also used the Candlelight delight and first edition speciality DSP. The Ornament Keepsake bundle, and the Snowflake Flurry Die. scraps of DSP from last years catalogue mixed with paper from the Festival of Prints DSP. the ornament, circle, oval and scallop circle punches were uses and also the flower punch. the embellished with vintage buttons, tule, we also needed a lot of pins, and a small amount of glue. the green card colours varies across the colour families including Gumball Green and Lucky Limeade.

Inks used Early Expresso, Cherry Cobbler and Gumball Green.

This was Vicky and Sue's version

The vintage version using the First Edition DSP.

Paula made this to match her lounge for the whole year!

We inked the Tule with black staz good in different colours!

The girls in action wrapping the wreath.

Pat changed it to the opposite colours and it just great!

Amanda sent me her finished version.

We used the bird punch for leaves.

The main colours used were Cherry Cobbler, Gumball Green, Old Olive, Real Red, Gold and Silver Card.

Quick thank you cards

This were very quick thank you cards I made for my customers, using the Just believe stamp set. And the new stampin pads from the subtle collection. Really simple design as seen in the catalogue. Hope you like the punched out circle reused stuck into the inside. Really easy to do but pretty and effective. I used Whisper White card stock, and made a small flag end on the thank you sentiment.

The flower was the guide to ensuring all the patterns were aligned, the hole was punched either top or bottom.

The thank you was placed with the flag over the punched out hole.
The new juicy ink pads give a really good even coverage and the colours really pop out.

Hope you like them.

Birthday and bag Broaches, using Old and New Supplies

Recently I had a lovely party with a group of ladies and we have been making broaches.
These started as birthday badges for a couple of my carers who were 21. Then it turned into a broach for a bag, now the girls are making them in all different colours and for different occasions.

This was actually gold with glass glitter added, and Satan ribbon.
21 made using the alphabet die on the big shot.

This is us all having fun!

More and more to share with you..

Before scrunching up the flowers they are held to get her with a brad, we were using old stock as this will not be seen once the button is added. You pull each layer up to make the flower effect.

We used old ribbon stock and brads, but we have used the antiques brads, buttons to match the colour family if the card or ink used.

We cut the flowers using the big shot and the large flower Die. Some embossed using the lattice folder.

The DSP newsprint was punched out with the latest flower punch and before inking the edges with sponge daubers, we pushed them through the crimper to break the fibres in the paper to make them move better to make the flower shape.
The backs were made neat with an oval punched out the same colour card, this was taped down across a broach pin.
They all look do different but make fab presents to jazz up a birthday card or a bag, even your outfit.

This is fab Judith sorry I cut off your head! But I loved the fact you were wearing it straight away xxx
Sorry it been so long before I have posted this on the blog
Thanks everyone for a great day.

Lack of posts this year

Hi everyone,

Just wanted to say why there has been so few posts this year, with my Multiple Sclerosis, I often spend days asleep in bed or on a special recliner chair. Otherwise I am in my wheelchair.

I would love to craft more, host parties but my condition does not allow me to work as fast as my brain would like, my body is not willing! However when I can I am often making cards for friends and family and try to craft with my carers. Mum helps me run parties and we all have a great time.

This year has been an additional string of problems, broken leg, gallbladder out and that just for starters,

I have been crafting whist not always blogging, so I am going to post some pictures of things I have been doing, some project may include old and new products.

I felt I wanted to share this with you as so many of you ask and follow me and sometimes wonder why it's hit and miss!

I hope going forward I will be posting more often and running some classes very soon.

Thanks for your support
Love Dawn xx

Last chance... Christmas decoration from the mini.

Good Morning last day to order from the mini summer, so email, text or call me if you need anything.
The decoration below has been stamped onto card first and I used the new Island Indigo stamp and baja breeze, also glass glitter and rhinestones. Hope you like it!

I have loved some of the stamp sets and new simply scored board, I have used the Blossom punch which makes lovely flowers to make fab christmas baubles and decorations with the ornament punch, check out what I have made with two punches tombo glue and glass glitter. I can't wait until the classes begin again next month. Imagine what we will be doing when the seasonal catalogue comes out. Anyway a taster for now just to keep you interested.

You can see that I have just used the current Christmas paper punched out and stick together using the blossom punch four per section and five all together. The middle is made using the simply scored board and a 1" strip scored and folded to make a circle to add to the centre.

I used seam binding ribbon to add extra dimension, and some of the free lucky limeade ribbon from last moths promotion.

The edges have been glued and covered in glitter before building together.
Can't wait for the new catalogue, with more Christmas things to come.
Hopefully I back crafting again, thanks to Michelle's and Monica's support. My leg is still extended but I am working at my exercises with the aim to be back working again soon, thanks to all of you for your support.
